Buff Bagwell was a pretty decent star by the time Vince bought out WCW.

If you go back and re-watch his one match against Booker T before they canned him... honestly, it wasn't a great match by any stretch, but it also wasn't nearly as awful as they made it out to be.

I think the part that really made me feel for ol' Buff Daddy was that Booker was no better in the match than he was. Meanwhile, Booker got pushed to the moon (deservedly so, don't get me wrong), and Buff just got the boot. They never gave him another shot, either. It was so stupid because Buff was in his early 30's and had a good 10 year run left in him if they would have let it happen.

Also, lol at anyone who ever believed the Jim Ross stories about Bagwell having his mother phone the company to tell them he didn't have to work house shows. They should have just said they didn't like him and been done with it.

they sandbagged him i dont think stone cold liked him so jim ross would side with him . wcw guys where expendable just like when hhh buried sting with his golden shovel .Mike Awesome said in some interview how bad it was there working for the wwe was like walking on egg shills and hated it

bagwell was a stupid jabroni and he should've taken his stupid hat off.


the biggest mistake was not having that match the next week in atlanta and replacing bagwell with ddp. ddp stalker chit was weak, he would've gotten over huge as the wcw champ running in and out through the crowd and chit.

ddp lost alot of his cool factor when he cut off his locks

Mike awesome betrayed ECW to jump to Wcw the way he did.

One thing about WWF bagwell I remember is he talked to the camera and said something like watch this and then he turned and did something with his hands like he was shooting the pyrotechnics himself out his hands and I thought it was hilarious

Man. I thought he was a decent mid-card to upper mid-card kinda guy.

Still not a reason fly JBL to humiliate him
