OP, why are you talking to poor people?

Once you level up your finances, you're supposed to dump all the broke people from your former social circle.

People are rarely happy for others success and will cut them down any chance they get.
Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

Never tell people anything about your business or financial status , it just invites toxic people into your life .

Generally agree with this.

But there are moments to moneymog since it's great way to (indirectly) say "fuk you" to certain people.

LOL. Ran into something like this the other day.

Was hanging out with an ex of mine from a few years ago, we got to talking about income etc and she knew I did good but I never told her how much I was making back when we were dating. I was having 60-80k/months back then. She was struggling pretty hard. One time I asked her if she needed me to loan her some cash or something (was like $500-$800 i think). She said no, she'll figure it out. I never once asked again.

So I was talking to her and told her how much I was making when we were dating and she got all ****ing pissed off and threw a fit, "You knew how much I was struggling, and you just sat there and let me struggle?" I was like uhhh, I offered once... She was like "Yeah one time!" Like bitch stfu if you needed money, ****ing ask or **** off. lmao.

Yeah when my family found out, started getting hit up by mom brother sister for $. Finally after getting ****ed off and never paid back by my brother, I told them all the ATM is done, no more. Had my mom ask me a year or so ago, but she actually paid me everything back.

They can also become salty and jealous

And start making comments like “man I had to get my car fixed and the expense really hurt me this month. I mean it wouldn’t be a big deal for you but for me it’s a lot”

Gave my brother 15k so he could flip a car, shocker never got that $ back.

Got to the point only time my sister/brother or mom were hitting me up was when they might have needed some extra $ for something lol. My ****ing mom makes 6 figures now, and has a spending problem. It's wild. Basically nothing for a retirement compared to what she should have. Going to have to support her in retirement I can already tell.

Dude...fuk, feelsbadman.jpeg I can relate to that. I have a ton of relatives that make a lot of money, but can't manage it to save their fukking lives. Literally get by month to month and in tons of debt. They have kids though, but I think I may have immediate family I'll have to support as well lol.

I can also to relate to relatives only hitting you up for money, it's amazing how they will treat you if you don't give them schit, as if they're entitled to it. I don't mind helping people out, but when you're a degenerate when it comes to money and you're unwilling to resolve you r own problems that you've created for yourself, I can't respect you. It's like flushing money down the toilet. I remember dumping 10k into the bank one time, and in a week it was gone helping some relative out. Got other stories, but chit is upsetting me lmao.

Story of my life.

I was talking to this 0/10 land whale on my kickball team. About 30yo, probably 5'6" 225, love handles spilling everywhere, can't run, works in HR for the govt. Major bish too.

She asked where I worked. I told her I was a chip designer at Qualcomm. She then asks me point blank. "How much money do you make?"

I just evaded the question and said "enough to be worth my while." But when even the beached whales are trying to vet you as a target for gold digging, fuaaark. My tour is phuckin over.

what kinda businesses were you running 10 years ago to be pulling that much a month? I'm assuming you meant profit and not your revenue?

Let me fix this a bit, I wasn't making that back in 2013. I had my first business in 2013, but didn't start to make a profit on that until mid/late 2014 and was making maybe $70k/yr off that.

In 2015 started a cannabis company. Sold off a few years later, from 16-18 I was averaging probably 60k/mo (thats my personal income, not the company). Had a couple 6 figure months. Then through downtime and expansion, numbers would be down. When we sold, took those funds and ventured into a few different things. Real estate development has been the primary thing.

Plus degen gambling. Up $415k on the week.

No doubt, stacking cash while convincing others you are broke is an underrated skill.

I'm by far not rich, but I have some things going for me. For instance, my house is paid off, so people who are in bad shape paying outragous rent have asked if they could rent a room, but because they know I have my house paid off they think I'll let them move in for some crap so I say no. I don't want to rent rooms. If I ever do, I'm going to say I bought the house for what it's currently worth, and that I'm paying 8% interest and how it's killing me so I have to charge a lot.
