Thai restaurants skimp on portions then have the nerve to charge $20 for a fkin Pad Thai and $8 for 2 tiny spring roll appetizers. It’s part of their pretentiousness, trying to act high class while cooking peasant food.

My portions were small af
$20 duck
Size the palm of my hand
Wasnt good
The pineapple fried rice wasnt good either
Ive had better at other spots
Everything else was mid too
Roti was burnt
Shrimp rolls -
thought it would be like spring rolls with shrimp
It was tiny fried like eggrolls
Ordered other stuff too but
It was Mid mid mid all around

I call this whenever it happens to me "getting foodie'd". Like I hear all the local foodies rave about some new or different restaurant and then I'll check it out and be disappointed.

you gotta be real careful when people are too zealous about a restaurant whether it be expensive or pizza. the tried and true places are that for a reason.

unless there is a deep discount or pussy is on the table (on a date) not worth going to most places.

Spend $70 on Thai tonight and the portions were small as chit. Barely enough for leftovers. Tasted so good though. Nothing like hot panang curry with all fresh peppers, sweet and rich coconut flavor with some juicy chicken hnnnnng. I gotta learn how to cook this type of food at home.
