I find this calculator hard to believe. I'm in the 68th percentile for the 35-39 range. A net worth of 300k. Zero debts, 401k and assets net to 300k. I find it extremely hard to believe I'm only 18 points above average. I swear everyone I know in that age range has negative wealth.

Yes, I know I'm poverty compared to the rest of the misc.

Bro it falls off quick. The median net worth is only $138,588 for that bracket. The people who do well though, aka the top 20% of each bracket, do very well. That's why you've more doubled the median net worth but still only sit at 68th percentile.

It gets even harder the higher you get. You only go from 95th percentile to 96th percentile with an increase of half a million. Literally half a million only pushes you 1 percentile higher at that point.

88% is what it says. Tbh I think I'm probably top 1% in the area I live. I know I make quite a bit more than the average graduate degree in my county.

well ya gotta figure 99% of people of high wealth just leave most of it to their kids. thus i'd imagine a huge percentage of the top 1% just keep it in the family.

There's way more factors than net worth. If you own your home with low payment and have a good career, you're doing extremely well. Your other stats don't really matter at that point.

If you don't own a home, you're struggling. You need a lot to change that.

I dont think I would even register on the chart.

That said, I did retire early and am currently retired with few bills.

Home payments is part of equity which is part of net worth in this calculator you dumb red ph aggot. If you own the home then you own the full value obviously.

Your equity is just home value minus whatever payments you have left. Do y'all really not track how much is left on your mortgage?
