Trap Bar Deadlift is the GOAT lift (SRS)

Brb builds full body strength

Brb superior for building explosive strength and force production compared to barbell deadlifts

Brb no need for a retarded bicep-popping mixed grip

Brb can be trained more often than barbell deadlift due to reduced lower back fatigue

Brb safer and easier to maintain good form

I enjoy doing trap bar deadlifts quite a bit but I'm not sure if they are really "superior for building explosive strength and force production compared to barbell deadlifts."

Wait - you weren't double overhanding your conventional deadlift grip?

The saying I’ve always heard about them is that they are just a squat with the weight in your hands
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

This. Its not really a true deadlift and doesn't really carry over to deadlift either. Not saying it's bad but think deadlifts still have their place even with a trap bar.

To be fair, I'm not so sure deadlifts are really as dangerous as people claim. Seems like the people who get injured are novice - beginner intermediate lifters while maxing out. I personally have had more scares with squat and bench than I have deadlifts.
