MISC Steak Mogging Crew Checking In Again Tonight (Pics)

A big fat prime ribeye for dinner. The rest of the week will be on sale delmonico steak and bison patties. Had to mogg one night though for dinner.

-Steak basted in butter with thyme, shallots, garlic. I used a ton of each to get rid of what I had left.
-Soy-free farm eggs. Just two since the steak is huge.
-Pickles of course
-Gerolsteiner sparkling water for the high amounts of trace minerals

About to have a nice french press dark roast Mexico single source/organic coffee to cap the night off.

My morning wood tomorrow is going to be unbearable. I already know it.

Damn.

Mirin.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

What kind of question is that man. Of course he did
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

The other side had a little better sear, but it started smoking liking crazy. Turned the heat down and the second side wasn't as good of a sear. Ghee does not work for searing for me in the cast iron. Have to buy more waygu beef tallow.

Yea I was disappointed too. I left it the usual time for the sear but it started to burn a little and smoking like crazy. No more using ghee. New cutting board too.

Not all of it haha. I do usually eat most of it, but sometimes the un-rendered fat is too...fatty. So I don't eat it.

Always delivering brah.

Waiting for your threads on homemade fries.

Maybe throw a little tarragon and some parsley mixed with some virgin or macadamia nut oil, some parm cheese and sprinkle it over the fries.

Just finished a 2-day water fast. Now I transitioned to a broth soup diet for the next 2 days before slowing going back to solid foods.

This thread makes it tempting to go out and buy a steak.

I am making some tonight. Maybe I'll post a thread then. Have a big meaty russet potato from my coworkers garden. I'll add a bit more to it. I have fresh parsley still from my last cutting of my herb garden, I have fresh pecorino romano I bought last week too. No more tarragon unless I buy some.

We'll see what I do tonight.

Nice brah! I am planning a 24 hour water fast sometime before thanksgiving. Was thinking maybe 48 hours too. I am packing on some lbs right now fast.

I can only imagine how good a steak would taste after a 2 day water fast +2 broth fast. Would be the greatest tasting thing ever.

Do you buy or make it? If you buy in bulk, super easy to make yourself...just made about 3ish cups the other day which I throw onto steaks and lasts a while...where do you buy from? Mine isn't waygu lol but might be tempted to buy if halal.

As always, good stuff

I only buy my tallow. I did try making a small amount last year and it worked, but it was only a little bit and not worth it yet haha.

This is what I get. It's actually very well sourced and close to me so I usually get it same day if I order it.

I don't think it is halal though. At least it doesn't say it anywhere.
