Dealing MSNBC family members?

With the holidays approaching the mixture of family, alcohol, and politics is inevitable. So for those who have family members who watch MSNBC religiously how do you deal with them?

We spend thanksgiving with family friends and their 40 year old fat incel daughter is insufferably woke. I just remind myself that liberalism is a mental disorder and genuinely feel bad for her. She spends thousands buying sperm donations cause she's never been able to get a boyfriend and wants to have a kid. Seems like shes sterile though. Its not even worth arguing with miserable people.

MSDNC is a cult. Nothing you can do for them. They’re too far gone. I would avoid bringing up politics at all.

The Alpha male says in a firm authoritative voice, "let's not ruin today arguing over this stuff, next topic!"
Or if you have reasonable family members like many of us do, you keep it calm and discuss it like you would regular topics.

explain to them how excited PUTIN must be for biden to get re-elected.

This is especially difficult for them to process because you are implying that PUTIN is in the wrong which they agree with 110%, but then you are forcing them to face the fact that PUTIN has only been invading Ukraine since BIDEN has been president.

The mental collision they will have with themselves should entertain you.

People who get emotional over politics in these settings are by defualt emotion based non logical thinkers who get lost in the sauce of political theater and cultural issues. Start dropping names, dates and specific events and watch them back away into "well I'm entitled to my opinion" even though it was just proven to be based on nonsense.

That being said, modern day liberalism is a brain parasite and those unfortunate enough to be infected should be left alone to enjoy life through their parasite lens. If they learn, they learn, if not, no hard feelings. Just remember, they think the excat same thing about you.

It's just my one aunt and her husband who watch MSNBC/CNN routinely and think Trump was evil while Biden is doing a great job as president. I generally just don't bring anything political up, and usually they don't either. My dad will typically be the one to start mocking the left, and I generally either don't get involved or will take charge to change the subject. Pointless to discuss that stuff with people who will never change their minds regardless of evidence presented to them, and it's really not the point of getting together for Thanksgiving/Christmas anyway.

It’s only fun if you have a bunch of straight-white conservative males that all gang up and bully one liberal female. She’ll never be able to handle it and it will reinforce everything she knows about the patriarchy. But it’s also good times

Dont deal with them.

A little known trick is that these family functions arent mandatory. If people are *******s and its not fun, there is not obligation to attend.

Once I realized that I quit going and never regretted it.

if you do feel the need to go just remember that these people really dont think for themselves. When they spout media nonsense its just a testament to how much brainwashing they are willing to accept from the media. Usually happens in boomers. I should know.

Grew up in an era when the news was the only source of information so you trusted them. The thought of them lying waas ridiculous and they would be called on it. Obviously that time has passed but no one told them. Same people who watch 60 minutes and think its some hard hitting news show and not just liberal propaganda.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
