People who haggle prices and don't feel bad for taking advantage are sociopaths.

Think about it.

Ever seen someone who has no problem haggling you to lower a price, so low, that you are not profitable anymore?

How can someone haggle a construction company to the point, they want something done almost for free? Not valuing the labor of another human being.

whatever the scenario.

I feel like, if you are too comfortable with haggling, that you don't care if you take advantage of someone else... you're a sociopath.

I love “bargaining” when not in the us. It’s more expected in other cultures and I’m not trying to “crush them” just having fun and practicing. Sometimes I’ll bargain them down then give them full price anyways.

Pawn Stars always low balls people on cars and motorcycles. Not too bad with any other merchandise.

Whenever they "call a buddy" and Danny shows up, you know he is going to say the car is worth a fraction

****

OP, good contractors don't negotiate. I know a few guys who say the price is what it is. In fact they don't want people who are going to challenge costs as clients

True, but I've heard stories of people who try to haggle and then make up some complaint to get out of paying the contractor. Like, make up a fake complaint that it's wrong, even if it's not wrong, to try and get it for free and avoid paying.

If you can do something like that to someone, yeah, you may come out on top and be richer $$, but people like that are straight up crazy sociopaths, to take advantage of someone else's labor like that

They are not a sociopath trying to screw people over.

They are 1. ignorant and 2. having a normal response to typical con artist contractors who are always trying to screw people over and who are actually the sociopaths.
