Working retail is like being stuck in a repetitive hell.

Esp when you need to wear one of those ****gy vests.

Also kills your confidence. There is seriously something demoralizing about being a man meant to conquer **** putting canned corn on shelves for a living.

I worked retail in college and the part I miss most is this:
- If you get fired you can easily find another retail job because of your valuable experience

Now I'm a "working professional" and expect something of equivalent pay/title. Back then I would just pop into wal-mart or some chit and get a job in 2 weeks. Now it can easily be a 2 month process.

Lmao show me one retail place where you pick your own hours.


Here's the real deal: you'll be working closing shifts until 10pm every night, and the odd occasion that you get a sweet morning shift, it'll be a 7am shift the day after you worked until 10pm.

Oh and your days off Wil be random as ****, and you'll end up working more than 5 days in a row because your days off will fluctuate weekly.

- opening crew really early or closing late at night
- getting treated like dog șhit by Karen and Kevin all day
- crap pay
- can't do anything when you see someone shoplifting except watch

I have a buddy who has done it for over 30 years now. He legitimately doesn't hate it, and just keeps humming along happy as chit LOL.

Most people hate that job, but some people just have a dgaf attitude toward life where it somehow works.

I miss being in my 20's and working retail sales in malls. Commission was decent but my flings and hookups were off the chart.
