How are some people able to make gains and progress without tracking macros?
I'm a little lost as to how some people are able to make consistent progress without tracking their calories for bulking,cutting...etc I have an older brother who believes bulking and cutting or just "bs" guy has made consistent progress without bulking and cutting. I don't even think he gets enough protein per lb I really doubt it he does. Not sure what his workouts are like but says he works out from 430pm to 10pm not trolling can provide the text. He also is in relatively decent shape. All this has me questioning bulking and cutting and forever tracking my calories nonstop.

Most people don't know what they're doing.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

2) If you eat at home, food you are familiar with, this makes tracking and sticking to macro goals easier, even without "tracking". For example: A chicken breast + a side you need to make will always have better Protein/carb ratio than a sandwich that comes between 2 white buns along with less calories.
3) If your CONSISTENT, even if your diet isn't perfect but you MOSTLY eat under or over calories. You will gain or lose weight as wanted.
4) Consistent training, gives u a bit more leniency with ur diet too. Diet is still mega important but one candy bar a day will probably not affect you at all if your working out x5/week.
Are you not entertained?

Genetics
Some people are able to eyeball food better
& thereโs levels of gains, anyone at a beginner or avg physique can make gains, as you progress you need to tighten things up to continue to improve

Bulking is easy enough if you're eating enough protein and enough food after all. Focus on the gym and your lifts. What you gain in convenience you pay with more fat gain during the bulk.
Cutting, nope, I can't do it that way. I need to count calories and figure out macros.

Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
