- God can't intervene because it would go against free will.
- God lets the Devil run free > messing with peoples free will > making them do sinful things > hell
How does this make any sense?

It doesn't make much sense at all.
That's why it's called "faith". If someone has faith, then you'll never have any arguement on them, because someone's faith generally trumps anything. The moment they start trying to make it seem like their religion is extremely logical and pretty verifiable by science, that's when the real re-re's come out.

Yahweh is always intervening. He intervened with the Hebrews. He destroyed mankind with a flood. He confused the languages at Babel when mankind was reaching a pinnacle and working together. He hardened Pharaohs heart so that he could punish the Egyptians and kill all their firstborn sons. He commanded his followers to enact genocide on those in the "promised land" and to not spare anyone, not even cattle or children. There was a clause though, that being virgin women. He allowed the Hebrews to take sex slaves.
The book paints human sacrifice (Jephthah's daughter) as a good thing. Of course, there's Abraham and Jacob too. What sort of test is that? A petty, pedantic and jealous God who causes both good and bad. Directly and indirectly. Not a just God.
It (God) wants you to worship him. Why? It's so strange. Sing his praises all day, for what? And those that don't or are "bad" get sent to hell? How can finite existence full of sin equate to eternity of punishment? It is a childlike entity.

I’ve never been forced to get drunk, do drugs, steal, lie, etc… but I can if I want to. Conversely I can choose to make good choices, to love my heavenly father and those around me if I choose to. God and Satan don’t force you to do anything it’s entirely up to you.
If anybody wants to have a good conversation about this stuff talk with LDS missionaries. They’ll go discuss it with you as much as you’d like.

Have you never heard of the story of Jesus Christ? God in the flesh? Read the Gospels to see of the Good news of Jesus Christ.
God has intervened and given all who believe in Jesus Christ the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If the devil has power over you it’s because you belong to him.
The devil loses his power when you put your faith and trust into Jesus Christ.

Although not just LDS, you can probably find Christians that do Bible study and they’d be happy to bring you along to answer your questions.
We were gifted free will. What we do with that is up to us. One of the strongest and most important tenets of Catholicism is the recognition that we are not perfect, and that we sin. But by recognizing our failures and mistakes and working to improve on them, we can grow to be better people more in the image of the Lord. To have light, you have to have darkness. Same with the Lord- you can’t have pure good without evil, which is “the devil”

the real question is:
-God allows free will.
-God also knows everything and stands outside of time, and knows every decision you will make in your life and is all powerful. If these things are true then your all of your decisions are foreordained. So do you really have free will?
google predestination theory if you really want to get deep.

Religions are run by low IQ Schisters.
They recruit even lower IQ sheeple to enrich them and control every aspect of their lives. Usually through sexual abuse including pe.dophilia. The only way to keep the grift going is indoctrination from infancy.

The Bible teaches that everyone is a sinner who deserves the eternal, fierce wrath of God. But God, in His mercy and love, sovereignly chooses some to save via the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Those people whom God saves are granted faith to believe and granted salvation. They don't work for it. It is a free gift of God through Christ Jesus.
Biblical free will is not the ability to choose anything. It's the ability to choose what you want. And man by nature wants evil. God changes the desires of His elect to want righteousness.

Devil also has no free will and simply acts on God's orders. Meaning God is the ultimate villain and tyrant. Lucifer's attempt at a rebellion makes him the greatest hero of the bible. But he still failed. He gave us knowledge and critical thinking. The writers of the bible were secretly undermining the very doctrine their kings forced them to spread. Men of true conscience and principle will cheer for Lucifer. Weak men who only worship power will follow God.
The invention of Jesus is a correction to the tyrannical insanity of the bible.

God does intervene.
The angels that left their estate before the flood were cast into eternal chains of darkness.
Believe it or not, Satan is not like a ped0phile/rapist angel like these others. He's someone that has an eternal grudge against God and wants to prove him wrong. God allows this test to unfold and also uses it for his glory

Religion is full of contradictions. "Money is the root of all evil."
2 minutes later.....send us money!! And the wealth of the Vatican is ridonkulous. There are quite a few grifts and inconsistencies across religions, to keep people in line.

modern religion just took stoicism and added an authoritarian rule to it
Four Virtues of Stoicism
Wisdom: This virtue involves the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. It encourages us to seek out truth and to use reason and logic in our decision-making.
Courage: This virtue involves the willingness to face our fears and to take action in the face of adversity. It encourages us to be bold and to stand up for what we believe in.
Justice: This virtue involves treating others with fairness and respect. It encourages us to be honest and to act with integrity.
Temperance: This virtue involves the practice of self-control and moderation. It encourages us to avoid excess and to live a balanced life.
