Just LMFAO at parasitic property managers

Got an email today from the kunt who is managing my properties recommending I consider purchasing a Christmas hamper for each set of my tenants for Christmas this year with 3 options to choose from - $59, $99 or $149.

According to the email it's been another challenging year and gifts like this are a lovely, heartfelt gesture that tenants appreciate so much and will ensure they take care and pride in the property they lease from me in the upcoming year.

After recovering from my initial disgust, the following reply was sent...

Hello Michelle

Thank you for your email and your recommendation. I absolutely agree that it would be a lovely, heartfelt gesture to provide my tenants with a Christmas hamper.

What has me perplexed is the fact that, whilst I am collecting the bulk of the rent from each tenant, you are collecting 10% of each rent payment for each property to "manage" my properties - this ultimately involves "inspecting" each one four times a year (walk in and take photos), arranging your overpriced tradesman to fix issues my tradie mates could fix for significant discounts but aren't able to via your agency because you can't clip the ticket, and not mowing the lawn or doing yard work to maintain the property because that's what tenants do.

You should be providing the hamper because that tenant has made you necessary. In fact, I would recommend you provide the hamper out of your funds, not my rental income.

Do not insult me again with gift ideas for my tenants unless you are paying for them.

It is likely just another way for them to make money by selling hampers for profit. Not sure why you got so made. They would be stupid to not try.

This is like the Geneva convention's requirement for POWs to try to escape. Leeches are required to leech as hard as possible.

That's what I'm now doing. They've never offered it before - and they're probably paying $20 to $40 depending on the option to supply it. You're making enough, go fuk yourself.
