Say you are going to rope but you have a woman who loves you...

And was planning a future with you (marriage, kids, etc). But your reason for roping is bigger than any relationship or potential future with that woman. For example, maybe you failed to adequately care for a family member and they developed an illness and died, and you decided it's only fair that you join them.

How would you mimimize or eliminate the emotional pain that woman will experience from your passing? Just go NC then wait 6-12 months before roping, hoping she moved on and forgot about you?

Or would you pull a Butterfly Effect and do something to make her hate you and never think about you again?
