If you've ever worked in restaurants, you'll know how nasty they are lol

For real, if you guys knew what went on in some of those kitchens, you'd think twice before dropping premium coin to have some underpaid angry disgruntled cook make you a meal delivered to your table by an angry waitress who feels like she never makes enough in untaxed tip money while they verbally abuse the bussers, hosts and dishwashers every time they get annoyed by the manager being mean to them lol

Food quality is going way down too. I have to throw out half my meal at restaurants these days because it's completely inedible. It's starting to make less and less sense to go out to eat

Similarly, there is a bar that I got sick from every single time I went. The last time I went, I had 2 margaritas…got sick.

I haven’t gone there since then lol. No matter if I ordered beer, Jack and coke, or margaritas; I got sick.

There's a big 24hr deli here that has the slogan "Katz's never closes!" Every time I hear that I think "Katz's never thoroughly cleans their kitchen"

Yeah idk what the food inspectors are doing. Most of the restaurants I've been in the appliances look like they are never cleaned.

I once worked as a dishwasher in an Asian restaurant when I ran out of money and desperately needed coin to survive. It really wasn't that bad. We kept it pretty clean. It was a nice place, though. I'm sure some places are horrendous.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

The vast majority of "food inspection" is about making sure restaurants meet the bare minimum government code standards (which aren't really all that much), pay their taxes, and don't piss off the health code inspector, not actually making sure they provide safe service to customers.

Used to work at a restaurant that i liked.

Stopped eating there after i saw one of the cooks come out of the bathroom stall before his shift and head straight to the exit of the bathroom.

No doubt he just shtmaxxed his guts out

If it makes you feel any better, none of those places ever truly thoroughly clean their kitchens. Maybe if they get advanced notice of a health inspector planning to show up, they'll order the crew to quick tidy it up a bit. I'm not saying the kitchens are all disasters, but if you think Abby and Jacob are really taking the cleaning seriously back there over doing the bare minimum to close the store down and go home at the end of the night, you're in for a surprise lol
