What casual shoes do you wear?

Getting old, late 30's, need casual shoes but don't want to look like a boomer nor look like I'm trying to relive my youth.

What kind of shoes? Just “casual” in general or sneakers? Budget?

Like what you wear during the day, not runners and not formal shoes. No constraints for budget but no designer or collector chit.

I don't mind some of them but I'm old enough that I can be the boomer new balance meme so I'm scared off.

for pants or jeans, this can go with almost anything (black/white, or white/white). because this design's so popular, you can find them at different price points:

for sweatpants, any regular sneakers.

during winter/cold weather, some leather boots.

I wear fukkin Sperrys. San Diego crew and wouldn't wear them if I didn't live by the beach. But that's where my shoe money went.

I'm leaning toward something like this. I'm size 12 so a little worried something so bland might look odd on a big shoe.

Also I ideally want black like you posted, something about white always seems a bit too feminine. Or maybe it's time to pop that cherry and get some air force ones?

Boat shoes? Don't think they look right with jeans. Probably should get some for when I need a smart casual shoe for hot weather to wear with shorts.

I looked into it, but don't need it. Have never had foot issues in my life. I used to wear basically sole-less indoor nike shoes that you could fold up for everything in college. So I'd be running on concrete, playing basketball, indoor soccer, lifting, etc in flat no support shoes which were basically the same as "barefoot" type shoes. It did make my feet indestructible though so there's something to those barefoot type shoes.

Yea basically the same as wrestling shoes. I think I still have the benefits now from wearing those type of shoes for so long. It made my front tibia muscles absurdly large and strong and while everyone else would have foot issues I never did.

Plus that giant 6'8 aussie guy Tom Haviland that is one of the strongest people in the world and does like 2 hour rucks in the woods everyday just recently switched to zero drop barefoot boots. So yea, there's something to that style of footwear and foot health and even other benefits.
