Should we gatekeep resources when it comes to work?

Let's say you are into IT

Should we gatekeep methods, articles, tools, knowledge that helped us grow and made are work easier?

I really want to share my knowledge with others so we can exchange experiences, but most of my colleagues are brootal ph3ggets since they don't desire to even share the slightest information they found.
Even if it is some basic bs

Short answer is yes. The longer answer is that it is give and take but varies depending on the dynamics of the team/organisation and how it impacts you. In your case if they're kunts then don't share knowledge with them.

otherwise your coworker uses it to advance they career while u stuck

So phuck the aholes colleagues and just gatekeep what I know since they won't help by returning the favour if I tell them what I know?

But if I don't give them the know-how somebody else will eventually. The tutor guy will get praise points though and they eventually still get the information.

Or I should just view it as a race? Basically having a head start by gatekeeping stuff and by the time they are on my knowledge level, I will have gathered new skills
