But with Biden as president, and libs currently preoccupied with supporting Palestine, this might not be as big a deal as it would otherwise.

Hi, I am Ron, and I want to share this note with everyone. We all sometimes think bad thoughts and say and do wrong things, but God loves us and wants us to be saved. God sent his perfect Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, into the world to save our souls. Jesus paid for our wrongdoing with his blood, dying on a cross_†, and in three days Jesus rose from the dead so that we could be forgiven and so that our souls could go to Heaven after our life ends. The Lord Jesus Christ is very kind-hearted. God describes Heaven as a very beautiful and joyful place with no sickness, no pain, no suffering, and no death forever for all those who believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and what he did for them. If anyone of you who will believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and what he did for you, SAY, Praise the Lord Jesus. Praise the Lord Jesus❣️ Go search for Andrew Farley on Youtube when you have time.

I think it would be a big news talking point but I don’t think there would be riots in the street like last time. But I could be wrong

They made an attempt in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana State Police rolled up everyone they could ASAP, jailed them, held like 72 hours before they were given a chance for bail, etc. Lots of people from other countries/states were shipped in and paid to be involved.
Understand these riots only get out of hand, because they are allowed to be out of hand. Assuming you want to shut that type of behavior down there are literally about a dozen various statutes on the books that can be used to apprehend people before they really get started.
It really just depends on the political & LE leadership in that particular area and if they are willing to use the law to shut it down or allow it to occur.

I read today that SCOTUS refused to hear his case.

Is it possible for a new trial?

As to what could happen: Depends on how far the left pushes and funds it. If they want, they could turn this into a nightmare scenario, but would only do that if it were politically expedient to do so. If they did not push it, and only the media spurged out about it - I don't think there would be major backlash at all.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I did a quick Google search
https://www.foxnews.com/us/derek-cha...urn-conviction
https://www.foxnews.com/us/derek-cha...urn-conviction
According to records, Chauvin says Dr. William Schaetzel, of Topeka, Kansas, told him that he believes Floyd died from complications of a rare tumor called a paraganglioma that can cause a fatal surge of adrenaline.
He should at least get a second trial. Then again he pled guilty, I'm not aure if you can rescind that
