What is up with Sonic?

Srs SEGA can make Persona and Yakuza which are GOAT tier games, yet their biggest blockbuster is shytting the bed since forever.

Meanwhile Nintendo is mogging with Mario who is less cooler

Why is it so hard for SEGA to make a good Sonic game?

The sonic movies were charming af. I thought they were great for being kids video game movies.


Didnt that open world sonic game come out last year, heard it was sort of mixed

The sonic games have never come close to the blockbuster Mario games....I mean they never have even come close....Every mario game that Nintendo puts out makes a lot of noise, they sell well..it's part of the reason why they kinda went under.

Sonic 1-3 absolutely mogged Mario back in the 90's by popularity and sales

Sonic Adventure 1-2 was a hit as well but was a Dreamcast exclusive on release; It is after that where it all went down hill

Not really. Mania is new-ish and was pretty well liked, that was about 5 years ago. SEGA has been pretty rubbish since then.
