Anyone else get really fuking sick lately? Some nasty schit floating around this fall

I got this really schitty cold lately resulting in some of the worst congestion I've ever experienced. I drove in the pseudoephedrine harder than ever and it did help but I was out of commission for a while, at least a week. Usually I can get over colds or other illnesses in 48 hours but this time this bastard has been lingering around like a viscous broccoli fart in a warm humid room with all windows closed. All of my friends and family have also been sick in the past month. Seems like something is spreading around like wildfire in these parts. Winter assraped us early here as well, so did the cold. Woke up to 10cm of snow here and it was -10C last night.

Out of curiosity, anyone else here get sick this fall? I feel better now and I really miss lifting. I haven't hit the weights in a solid week. Starting to get real antsy. Need to let off some tension. Gonna try to squeeze in a lifting session later today.

Stay safe!

I've been talking with my wife about implementing a vitamin/mineral stack so I'll look into that.

Yeah, few weeks ago I was wrecked with bad congestion and cough, lasted maybe 2 weeks; a lot of people at work were sick too, pounded a lot of cough medicine but it only kind of helped.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

sounds like you need to boost your immunity...
I suggest hitting up a few local strip bars and letting a few of the girls grind on you . your body will start producing a lot more white blood cells after the experience

Sounds really similar to what we had here. Some of my friends and their kids had gastro so I'm glad it wasn't had. Haven't had gastro since I'm a kid and I don't want to experience that ever again.

I have an 8 and 5 year old, they always bring home sht from school. Everyone had it in the house in October and I was the last to get it around 2 weeks ago, no other symptoms other than congestion/cough. It will go away just in time for kids to bring back colds from Thanksgiving travel this week.

That's interesting. I didn't have any coughing nor sneezing, just intense congestion and a splitting headache. Now it's more residual stuffiness. I've heard RSV is spreading around here.

I got sick last month and it lasted for about 5 days, although the worst of it was in the first 48 hours. Not much congestion that time, just a sore throat, cough, fatigue, general ill feeling. I hate getting sick mane. There should be a way to stop the common cold from spreading entirely.

This will be controversial for some but here it goes anyway.
Around march of 2020 i listened to what the common themes were around the world and it was low Zinc and low Vitamin D levels.
At that time i decided, time to bump this chit up so if i was exposed to anything i could fight it off; a cold a flu or anything else.
So i read up on RDA of various supps to stay healthy and doubled or tripled them.
I had 1 cold since then, and got over it in 3 days.
My father drank OJ every day and never got colds or flu, so there is that.

Don't forget to overhydrate so the water flushes, god luck!
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

I had a bad case of Covid and allergic reaction to the antiviral Paxlovid and the pneumonia before that.

I’ve been in the ER 5 times.

My coworkers got the same.

I’ve been severely ill since August and I’m beyond tired of it, although thankfully I’m improving each day.

Now I’m just focused on eating better and ordered more vitamins.

Ugh!!

Feel better OP.
