Pope hosts a bunch of trannies for an Italian dinner.

https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2023/11/...tballs-dinner/
Pope Francis has made strides in the Catholic Church’s acceptance of transgender people over recent months, but recently took a dramatic step to ensure that his message was being received.

A group of transgender women with a history of personally interacting with the Pontiff were invited to join 1000 other poor and homeless guests for lunch to mark the Catholic Church’s World Day of the Poor. The women were treated like VIPs, with one, a former sex worker, seated at the table with the Pope.

The Vatican released a document earlier this month said that transgender people and people in same-sex relationships can be baptized and serve as witnesses at weddings. Trans people can also be godparents as well.

“Being a godparent is a big responsibility; it’s taking the place of the mother or father. It’s not a game,” Claudia Vittoria Salas told the Associated Press. “You have to choose the right people who will be responsible and capable when the parents aren’t around to send the kids to school and provide them with food and clothes.”

Salas, a tailor and house cleaner, was the godparent to three of her nieces and nephews in her home country, Argentina. She did sex work to put the children through school.

The women’s relationship with the Pope developed during the pandemic when they appealed to the Church for help at the urging of the local priest. Local funds were depleted, but the church provided the women with food and other assistance.

Assistance quickly came from the Pope’s chief almsgiver, who also made sure the women were vaccinated against COVID. Many of the trans women were Latin American immigrants and ineligible to get the vaccine in Italy, so the church gave it to them directly.

Francis, who is Argentinian, asked to meet the women himself to offer them comfort and support. They now attend the Pope’s general audience monthly and are given VIP seating.
That meal sounds quite tantalizing. Envious of those who attended.

Also, take heed for our resident conservative Christians. The Pope is acting refreshingly Christian in this instance, unlike you. You seem to consider the faith as a vehicle for hatred and polarization and it's very toxic and hypocritical. He isn't letting rhetoric supercede his actual Christian ideals.

He's a Jesuit so his commitment to actual Christianity is definitely strong. There's no contradiction between understanding and supporting the LGBTQ community and Christian beliefs.

It's definitely going to be an effort to turn the Church toward modernity, but it can be done. Jesuits set a good example. They're more intelligent and scholarly, they teach the Bible, but also science and philosophy. If the Church wants to stay relevant and actual set an example actually like Jesus, they should put these guys in power.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

“I have always distinguished between what is pastoral [ministry] to persons who have different sexual orientations and that which is the ideology of gender. These are two different things,” Francis stated.“The ideology of gender is, at this time, one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations. It goes far beyond the sexual.” Because “it dilutes the differences,” he said. “The richness that is of men and women, and of all humanity, is the tension of the differences. It is to grow by means of the tension of the differences. The matter of gender is diluting the differences and making the world the same, all dull, all equal. And that goes against the human vocation.”

lmao at them acting like god parents mean anything in 2023. If a kid's parents die and the kid isn't promptly taken on by a close relative, they go directly into the orphanage/foster care system.

Also, I'm pretty sure most every day normal Catholics despise that guy by now.

The Church is going to have to turn towards modernity if it wants to stay relevant. It's either this, or watch as the pews empty out.

The pews are already pretty empty compared to say, even 20 years ago Let alone 30+ years ago. There already exist churches that appeal to the extreme leftist weirdos, and there's just not much demand for it. Or religion in general.

Also, the churches getting hijacked and turning towards this alt-leftism stuff does a great job of making people who might be more traditional/want to go to church stay away from it.

Not exactly a surprise that OP wishes he was invited to a tranny party.

Yeah, the Jesuits are pretty based. They're some of the most educated and enlightened people you will meet and they're progressive and forward thinkers.

Historically, they've tended to run against the grain and they're more likely to engage and discuss with people whom other Christians scorn. I heard a lot of their missionaries were pseudo anthropologists who studied different cultures to give more effective pastoral care.

Also, their heavy involvement with academia makes them more amenable to breaking a status-quo and be unafraid to question things. That makes them kind of heretical in the eyes of traditional Christians. The Church sees things in very black and white, but Jesuits have nuance. They're the ones standing at the precipice between the Church tradition and secularist modernity.

Reminds me of the Prophecies of Saint Malachy who predicted that the Catholic Church will have 112 Popes before it is destroyed..and Pope Francis is the 112th Pope.

“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End,” the 112th prophecy says.

Very true. For instance, Francis has called for peace between Russia-Ukraine since the beginning, and has called out the Military Industrial complex as being behind the war.

One really sees his Jesuit background in breaking a status quo and being unafraid to question the received wisdom of the war-mongering west that has been antagonizing Putin since 2000, while doing everything it can (short of boots on the ground) to keep the war going and to continue killing Ukrainians.

He's even doing it while residing in the heart of Europe under the aegis of a firm NATO member like Italy. Very brave, NGL.

Good guy Francis.
