I decided I'm going to send it.

I make 100k. I have 100k saved up incl. retirement. The thought of living at home for a year saps all fking joy out of me. I looked at my body count (12) and realize how sad of a life I've had.

I'm going to live for the now and for the future. My dad didn't even want me to get a car at home and share my sister's. I can't do this. I'm buying a beater, have a good deal to live in the city for a month for 2k/month.

Will still study.

But not going to completely sacrifice the present for more $$ in the bank. I want more $$ in the bank. But would rather spend this time growing my income. Can not do it.

$2K/month for some roach-shack in a city where you'll likely get jogger'd

Worst deal in the history of deals

Quit thinking like a 15 year old or you'll end up a broken drug addict like half the people on this board

I mean it's a nice spot. Don't you think the finances back it up? What, save for the future? What about being a single 27 year old (as I type it out, it sounds ghey) but srs, how do i balance the present with the future

NYC is insanely expensive and not worth what you get in housing. The rent/mortgages are absolutely batchit. Land is scarce. I'd honestly gtfo if I were you. It was fking horrible a decade ago. I can't even imagine how bad it is now.

No, it isn't; there is nothing nice in a big city under $5K right now

It wasn't long ago $2K wood get you a luxury studio or renting a 2500sqft house was $600

Do not cuck yourself like this in Xiden's economy; move out of the chit-hole known as NYC to a more rural area

The only thing you should be thinking about is the future ironically

Being 27 and single is most likely your own doing; you'd have to actively avoid/dump women your whole life to be single at this age

You're on the absoloot cusp of getting a virgin 20 year old(as rare as they are now); bank on your own future instead

I mean I found a nice 1BR. Not amazing, but decent.
