Articles about narcissists only deal with women talking about men

I’ve had at least 3 girlfriends who were narcissists, but in articles online about dealing with a partner who is a narcissist, all the people are women talking about men.

Why don’t people talk about narcissistic women?

Agreed.

My ex was and is a narcissist. But I still loved her cause she couldn't help it. It's not a choice from what I have read about it.. instead of being angry or upset at things she would do. I always tried to give her love and understanding

Being mad at someone for a condition they have no control over is stupid. But some people just can deal with it. They either break up or you love that person enough get through those rough patches and wait for it to pass .

It's rough but real love is always. Rocky road not an easy one.

its blatant projection from women

its just a way for them to cope and blame someone/something other than themselves for the terrible choices and situations they end up in

Too much of what's happening these days is everyone's narcissism is labeling other people the narcissist.

What I mean is everyone has some level of narcissism but popular science is that narcissists are terrible, broken, dangerous and irredeemable people. Both of those statements are vaguely true but they are talking about narcissism in two different contexts. However what is happening is people are conflating the two:

1) If someone displays any narcissism they are an irredeemable dangerous enemy
2) It is impossible for me to have any narcissism because I am not a terrible person

Now two people, any two people, collide. They both have a level of narcissism and they both interact with the above beliefs and they both are required to draw the conclusion that the other person is a terrible narcissist or else they need to draw the conclusion that they themselves are.

The problem is that the popular science focuses on the extreme end of the spectrum, people with NPD. What I think we need as a community of humans is to acknowledge and accept that everyone has a level of narcissism and in the right contexts it can be a useful personality trait.

They say that the NPDs are incapable of recognizing their own narcissism but we have somehow moved into a situation where any narcissism is taboo and akin to admitting you liked to torture animals as a child. So nobody feels safe to recognize their own narcissism. Is everyone getting NPD in that scenario or is it a problem with popular culture?

And yes, I agree with the premise OP. Men typically have higher levels of narcissism if you are going to fight a lion then you probably need a level of self-delusion over your awesomeness (especially the first time). However women have picked up and run with this bro science dynamic of narcissism = NPD to paint themselves as the victims as is one of their favorite power struggle techniques.

Criticizing narcissistic women would mean criticizing the average western woman.

Perhaps it’s because women are more likely to talk about their feelings, and the leftist culture has essentially told men it’s not ok to give their thoughts.

Look at the vast majority of far left protestors and activists. They’re women. There is a pretty direct link between activism and narcissism.
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.
