Any of you boyos see this trash? I liked the original show so figured I'd give it a shot as there's nothing on streaming/tv these days and football/nba is nearly unwatchable.

-brb overly represented racial stereotype characters (sassy black girl with frizzy hair who is overweight, gay white guy etc), whole shows looks like the cover of a middle school math book

-brb original show is a dark view of capitalism then netflix turns it around and tries to make money off aspiring social media stars who want to make money (its like black mirror)

-brb overly sappy "background" vignettes about each contestants problems in life

-brb people crying and taking the show too seriously - acting like their life is over after losing

-brb cringe "alliances" being formed


whole thing is BAD BAD BAD. had to quit halfway in.

I saw a Reddit post from someone that was on the show. They said it was completely staged too. None of the competitions were real. People that should have been kicked off for losing weren’t, and people that should have stayed because they didn’t lose magically disappeared during filming.

It’s a completely different story given the backdrop of the first season and the change in perspective ruins the gimmick that made the first season good.

I could see the crying for poor peoples chance at 4.5 million

I know for America's next top model there's tons of competitions and chit before you get to the show. One of my moms dancers got cut right before the final selection and she was traveling and chit for them for like a year +

So, if that show is similar they may had already been through a decent amount just to get to the show

Read that the red light green light game took 8 hours in real life. They had them frozen in place for 50 mins at a time.

Also read someone post on reddit Netflix hired him on a "villain" contract to be on the show and be purposely evil/backstabbing etc

lol the first season ends on a retarded segue just to force an unnecessary second season for money.

It will go the same direction as Prison Break or any show that has a good concept but would really work best for a limited run. They are going to make the “bad guy” bigger and bigger until “it goes all the way to the top” and all the character development that was built just goes out the window.





I can’t watch “competition shows” anymore. All they do is cut to the little camera interviews with every contestant tearing up saying “I’m doing this to represent __________, I never saw someone who looks like me compete in ___________ before. If I can raise awareness for ___________ I will have done my job.”
