I find this kind of physique particularly 'aesthetic' - perhaps ideal. Harry Taylor.
I just found this clipping from an old vintage physical culture magazine - from 1946. After looking at this photo, I wasn't able to find out anything about this guy with any ease, unfortunately. There's actually not a single entry for a "Harry" or "Harold" Taylor anywhere on the Musclememory website. Nothing resulted from quite a number of several combinations of search terms in Google, not that doing such a thing is particularly effortful research. Nevertheless, it seems like this guy, Harry Taylor, was quite obscure. Wrestler. Maybe competitive bodybuilder, too. Maybe the fact that they say he was from Halifax, B.C. might have messed things up. I suppose there is such a place, but the main Halifax, by far, in Canada is on the OPPOSITE coast in Nova Scotia.
Nevertheless, this guy, Harry Taylor, has, to me, what is just about the ideal kind of physique that I like, although I like numerous types of physique - heights, skin colors, hair colors, eye colors, although I *generally* prefer endomorphs or mesomorphs - I do like...some...sort of development.
Nevertheless, to me, this is just about the ideal true masculine physique. It wouldn't really matter what I did, however, I could never have a physique like this, even if I got started with extremely good guidance as a toddler. My frame is simply too slender (6.5" wrists, for example, and 8.5" ankles).
I love that there is...some degree of shape...but it is also robust and fleshy without appearing either too soft or too hard, although one never knows, exactly. Shapely, beefy, robust, and masculine, without being too chiseled. John Grimek would be a more sculpted and streamlined version of something like this, this Harry Taylor. There was also a model from Canada from the 1990s named John Grimek who, at his peak, resembled this sort of ideal.
Any thoughts or reactions?
