Is aphantasia a huge prank? Do you have it?
"Aphantasia means you can't picture things in your mind, and while most people don't have it, it isn't a disease or disability. Just as being left-handed isn't a disability in a world where most people are right-handed, having congenital aphantasia is no more than a difference in how you use your mind."

I just cannot wrap my head around it. It feels like I'm being punk'd, but there's no benefit to making this up, so I suppose they aren't lying. Anyone here have aphantasia?

I'm picturing myself tongue-diving into a sizeable female crap dungeon right now with relative ease so I'll venture an educated guess and assume I am not afflicted by this condition.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

When I close my eyes, all I "see" is black. But my brain can recall an image (including moving) on demand. So even though I "see" black, the brain is simultaneously creating an image. It's easier to do one from memory, but can do something from pure imagination / self-creation.
I feel like this isn't too different from dreaming. Your eyes are closed, but you've dreamt. I think a lot of people take "seeing pictures with your eyes closed" a bit too literally.
