Want to eventually start watching it haven't heard a bad review yet
My recommendations are
Dallas
Deadwood.
Have grown to really enjoy Yellowstone.
For a comedy note and if you like football HBOS 1ST And Ten series from the 80a.
Very funny show. Lasted 7 seasons if memory serves.

Came in expecting M*A*S*H* but apparently you don’t understand the meaning of the words you are using.

i see a few brahs are upset that good folk just cannot get into it. even though they have tried
when does it start to get good? that might help push through the opening episodes
i don't mind a slow series.. for example. i loved Better Caul Saul. and at times, that was moving at a snails pace. but it was still enjoyable........
this one however... *sucks hard* .. i'll make the effort to try again though at some point. i might have to be on the laptop working though because it does really suck
another one that i could not get into was24. i had a Japanese friend that was addicted to that, he used to buy them on DVD, throw away the case and put the discs in a DVD carry folder. what a nerd. but he wanted to take it everywhere with him

Aye pretty close
I remember watching Sopranos, the Wire, The Shield all around the same time.. ****ing great TV
Followed a few years later by Game of Thrones and Breaking bad
Like holy **** i can't even remember a TV show that has come close to those in the past 5 years
Sopranos was great.. i was pissed when Chris got killed.. Imo him and Ralph were great (****ed up) characters

What makes me think your attention span might be shot is you saying Better Call Saul moved at a "snails pace" (no offense meant, this has happened to almost everyone these days). To me, Better Call Saul was just a good, well-paced show. It was slower paced than Breaking Bad, but that doesn't mean it was dragging at a snails pace. People are just too used to the type of shows that are created for binge watching, with constant action, drama, plot twists, graphic sex, etc.
There was a thread on here a little while back with a bunch of people saying how The Godfather is an extremely overrated and boring movie. It came out decades before the Sopranos of course, but this is another good example of how people today just don't have the attention spans to appreciate a story like The Godfather. There's not that much violence, action, or sex in The Godfather movies. No real plot twists either. It's just a great story.
Anyway, back to The Sopranos. While I really enjoyed the first season, it's probably the weakest. In the first half of the season it seems like the show is trying to decide whether it's trying to be a TV Goodfellas spin-off, or it's own thing. There's definitely a lot of cheesy/cringe writing in the first few episodes. The last few episodes of season 1 are very good and the show really starts to stand out in season 2. My personal favorite season is season 3.
Anyway, $4 a pound.

Came in expecting Sopranos
Leaving satisfied. Repped.
The Wire & The shield get honorable mentions, but i think Sopranos just eclipses them for me, although the Wire probably has better writing (but i prefer the acting in Sopranos)
