how often does your parents, friends or siblings ask about your relationships

or if your single, your relationship status?


Every time I get together with my parents/sibling they ask if I am dating someone. It get's annoying to the point that I just lie and tell them that I am dating someone. I would think that would stop the question but it actually just got worse. I get it they ask because they care but does it need to be every time we hang out. Can they just be happy that I am present and enjoy the moment....

I tried lying thing too but then they just start asking more questions about who she is and that gets exhausting. Definitely do not lie that you are seeing someone.

To be honest they mostly just stop asking these days though. I think everyone has given up on me

Any actual girlfriend I get in the future can also never be brought around these people now either because after pushing so hard for so long to finally get a girlfriend they will no doubt reek of desperation (on my behalf) for anyone who is dating me. I'll look like a complete loser in the process.

I basically have to keep everything 100% a secret from here on out even in the event I do have something good going.

I dont have any friends so I dont have to worry about them asking.


My dad stopped asking if I had a girlfriend and indirectly told me its ok if I'm gay. I stopped talking to him 10 years ago.

Actually I only talk to 1 family member ever.
