Is there a better DJ than Fred again rn?

Brah has blown up in the past year and i'm hearing him everywhere now, be it house parties, night clubs, random brahs playing his tunes in the car, personally i think he's the current guy at the moment with solomun a close 2nd.

He’s good, but I don’t really think of him as a DJ. More of an artist.

The problem is, he’s targeting his music toward groups of people who I hate, so eventually I know I’ll eventually dislike him as well.

No real Vinyl , no real synthesizers or real drum machines , no rapping or vocal improve?

does this even count as a DJ?

Saw him at iii points festival and it was trash. Got on the mic to give some mini speech in between each song. Like the previous poster said he is more of an artist/producer not a great DJ.

To me it has to be John Summit right now. Dude just keeps dropping banger after banger AND he DJs extended sets instead of just the 1-1.5 festival set that anyone could play.

Haven't really been able to discover new electronic music in the past year or so but the last new guy whos impressed me a lot was him.

he's a bit weird though.

his skrillex collab era was a bit dogsht though. All those songs were crap and his sets also became sht too.

"Like I do" was huge
"smile on my face"
"maybe life"
"end of a nightmare" really good sounds
turn on the lights is high energy
lights out
even "desert island duvet" I like for some reason lately.
"ten" is latest decent one

Id say thats a good amount of bangers for someone to gain my respect. and all in within like 2 years
Doordasher crew (SRS)
Bidet Crew
Nissan Versa 2023 crew
Bald crew

Lol at button pushers using auto-sync and pre-recorded sets. Full respect goes to the OGs that started spinning vinyl in the 80s, notably Carl Cox, John Digweed and Sasha. Carl Cox in particular is a mad mad (see his 9 hour Space Ibiza Closing Party set on Youtube lol). Because I love deep house the Anjunadeep mixes are great to listen to. This is more about the producers involved that interest me though.
