Amazon to start selling cars in 2024

Its over for scummy salesmanhttps://premium.goauto.com.au/amazon...ll-cars-in-us/

AMAZON will sell Hyundai models in the US market from the second half of next year. This is Amazon’s third move into the auto market in the past eight years and with more – possibly Kia and Genesis – to follow.Neil Dowling

Amazon announced at the Los Angeles Auto Show this month that it has a partnership with Hyundai and will start selling vehicles to US customers on its website in the second half of 2024, with other brands joining later.

The partnership between Amazon and Hyundai includes the online sales of vehicles.

"US Hyundai dealerships will be able to sell vehicles in Amazon’s US store, with Hyundai being the first brand available for customers to purchase.

Amazon said the digital shopping experience will make it easy for US customers to buy a new Hyundai online, and then pick it up or have it delivered by their local dealership at a time that works best for them. "

It's just a referral program between Amazon and your local scumbag dealership. Amazon probably gets 10% or so, and you still have to deal with chithead car salesmen to pick up your car.

must admit, I dont enjoy dealing with car dealerships.

Bought a classic car from a smaller independent dealer/mechanic a couple years back. That was a breeze though.

Dealerships are the worst kind of people, so happy to see any way to bypass them. Tesla led the way and now Hyundai is finally getting smart.

I have noticed that basically all compact cars have been discontinued in North America, which is a big indicator how people love their bigger cars.
