Why do so many kids nowadays have autism and ADHD?

I see it everywhere now. Parents bringing their loud autist children in the elevator, grocery stores, etc. Parents casually saying "oh and my kid is autistic". It seems one out of every 4 kids now are either autistic/ ADHD. Phuck having children nowadays srs

the first person that was diagnosed with autism is still alive - it stands to reason the number of people diagnosed with it would grow rapidly as we learn more about it and more doctors are made aware

Add to that how broad the definition of autism has become. I saw a billboard a couple years ago for some charity like “avoiding eye contact is a symptom of autism.” Dafuq? Seems like everyone can be diagnosed as “high functioning autism” if you dig deep enough. I’ve taken those online quizzes and it gave me a 60% match srs lmao.

not a complete anti vaxxcel but look at the vaxx schedule compared to where it was 50 years ago. its almost quadrupled in recommendation for children.

it takes a lot more than that though for the diagnosis - they are just trying to help parents identify behaviors that might be indicative of their kids having it cause it makes a HUGE difference in the kid's education

Millennials don't actually raise their kids. Kid sit in front of iPad all day scrolling 30s tiktok and YouTube shorts so can't pay attention to anything srs

I chalk at least half or more of them up to bad parenting. A large mistake was the DSM V putting autism spectrum so wide.

Most of these kids are products of over stimulation and inattentive parenting/lack of socializing.
