Know any games with unexpectedly good music?

FF7 definitely makes the list for a lot of people, so I’ll post stuff that caught me off-guard when I was a kid. The Donkey Kong games.

A little fact about the first one:
"Aquatic Ambi.ence" has been particularly influential. It has been described as "the 'Eleanor Rigby' of video game music", praised by artists such as Trent Reznor and Donald Glover.”

Pretty much all the Final Fantasy's had a killer soundtrack, nearly impossible to hear those and not get the feels.

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Doom would be my recent picks for best soundtrack.

True, I realized it when I first played FF6. The scene at the opera had me in shambles as a kid. Will look into those two.

Dating myself a bit here, but I thought the music of Super Castlevania IV was ahead of its time.

1991, I prefer to call that OG. Looks like it got a lot of retrospective praise, and is in top games of all time lists.
