My PS5 started having an issue today that I've never had before. I fired up FF16 and after a few minutes the screen started flickering/chopping up, and then my TV would show the "lost signal - searching for a connection" screen before returning to the game. This would happen intermittently every 15-30 seconds. I checked the cable connection, everything was fine.

I know it's not the cable or my TV because I've been watching hockey all day using the Sportsnet app on my PS5 and had zero issues. I tested it with Netflix and YouTube just now as well and no screen tearing, no lost signal connection, etc.. everything normal.

I thought maybe it was an issue with FF16 (it's on disc) so I turned it off and tried a few different games which I have installed locally on the PS5 like DMC5 and Yakuza, and both gave me the same flickering/signal lost problem.


Anyone know how to fix this or wtf is going on?

I would try a different cable anyways if you have one. Would also plug the PS5 into a different monitor/tv with that different cable, just to confirm it's the PS5 with the issue.
