Did you know you can make sourdough starter with just flour and water?

You don't need to add yeast because spores are everywhere.

I don't think this would work too well, having made this starter and bread a lot.

Spores may be everywhere, but probably not enough for this to work well.

Yep. My current start is about 5 years old. I make sourdough pancakes and bread about every week. Actually have dough rising at the moment.
