Why is the ground beef pink?
The average pack of ground beef I find at the grocery store looks more like pork than beef, if I leave it in the fridge more than a day it'll turn brown.
Meanwhile the grass-fed beef I've been getting is nice and red like it should be, and no matter how long it's left in the fridge it never changes color.
Internet says it changes color because of oxidation, but the the grass-fed doesn't oxidize. Does grain feeding cows make this much difference in color?
Wtf is in this stuff? BTW both examples are 80/20 so it's not caused by the fat content

What? I've had a lot of grass fed beef turn gray in the fridge. But yeah the non-grass stuff is definitely more pink, and I think it's because it has a higher fat content than what they say

It's possible that it's a way higher fat content than advertised like the guy above said, but it feels like more than that
