Question about drinking BCAA’s

If your legs are still sore from a workout on a previous day and you’re not lifting today, should you drink BCAA’s to help repair the muscles?
Exercise will get you through times of ill health better than no exercise will get you through times of good health.

I can’t take preworkouts, I’m sensitive to caffeine

The only supplements that work are Fish Oil, Vitamin D, and Vitamin T. Hope this helps.

I recently realized I’m super sensitive to caffeine. I was having a hard time sleeping all week and stopped drinking my 2 cups of tea yesterday and I slept so well. It happens as we age.

Back in 2008 I was taking medication for high blood pressure, and if I drank coffee back then, it made me feel like I was having a heart attack. After this happened 3 or 4 times, I finally stopped drinking coffee.

I stopped taking the medication in 2013, but I’m still afraid to take caffeine or drink anything containing caffeine, despite the fact that I could probably drink coffee now with no problems. I drink herbal tea now.

If you’re really sore, focus on another body part.

If you’re slightly sore, more warmup sets until soreness is gone.

Check your calories/macros and keep sleep in check.

I don’t think there’s any actual supplements that help recovery at significant levels.

I quit caffeine for a couple months and my sleep actually seemed to get worse. Weird chit.

That’s really strange. I wish I had that issue. I quit coffee months ago because it was starting to give me anxiety and now tea is even bothering me. Life sucks.

It's possible that my sleep quality actually got better but I was only sleeping about 6 hours instead of usually 8-9. I definitely lost strength in the gym without caffeine though. And I don't usually even have caffeine preworkout. Normally about 4-5 hours before the workout.

Leg days are taxing. Take in some extra carbs on those days to help refill depleted glycogen stores. It helps with recovery and soreness. You could also do an epsom salt bath to reduce the soreness.

That makes sense. Caffeine has been shown to increase strength in studies.

If you have a solid diet with enough protein from decent sources, BCAA's do pretty much nothing.

Thanks, I repped you. I actually didn’t train legs, I walked seven miles on Wednesday and I’m not used to walking that far. I’m still kind of sore.

They’re supposed to alleviate D.O.M.S.

i wouldn't waste the 24 bucks if it didn't work for me, so i bought a second container because it worked.
it works and it allows me to stay longer and do more training.
hardly any pain the next 2 days, and pain does not bother me at all.

People still think BCAA supplements do something? Did we go back in time to 1995?
