Rate my $12 steak dinner (pics)
I eat plenty of top tier meat (no homo), but I wanted a challenge. I wanted to see what kind of steak dinner I could make for less than the cost of a basic bowl at chipotle or Mcdonalds meal.
3 pack of steaks for $24 with some ok marbling. Each steak was about 20 ounces. I cooked the one on the left and stuck the other two in the freezer. That one in the middle is going to be the best.

Goddamn I am the king of searing

Cooked nicely, gave it a long time to cook and render as much as possible

A few bucks worth of mushrooms and broccoli, total cost less than $12. Thinking about it, this type of steak that's a little tougher would be perfect for chimichurri or maybe super thinly sliced in a sandwich. It was still good as is.

Not bad looking, but this meat looks like some type of Chuck Roast?
Would probably taste a lot better if you put it in the crock pot.
