Do action figures still make good gifts for the boys in a family?

I have some young nephews I need to get Christmas gifts for. Do kids still like action figures? Or are action figures these days just for neckbeards decorating their basements with them? Would they make good Christmas gifts for nephews who were say 3 - 10 or so?

Boys love that kind of stuff. Just got my grandson GI Joe snake eyes not too long ago. Still plays with it when he comes over to visit.

They will always be fun. Hot wheels cars too.

Not the stupid collectors ones the weirdos all clamour over, just regular fun ones they can play with.

Also the one gift all boys will like is just an old fashioned ball. Sounds like a stupid gift but all boys love it. Its a timeless classic that never fails to entertain.

I'm the kind of guy who would buy them the classic design ones and tell them to just take them out of the boxes and have fun like they're supposed to do with them. Not store them on a shelf like some neckbeard decorating a basement with collectables.

Be sure that they are non-binary and representative of POC/minorities. You do not want your nephews playing with figures that reinforce the patriarchy and the associated power structures.
