It would help MLB big time and have an even playing field and force teams to recruit better instead of throwing money at a player.

Players like the no cap. They will never vote against it

There are more teams that can spend max money on 1 player. The talent will be spread out.

I disagree there needs to be a salary floor more than there needs to be a cap.

What makes this contract a joke is the deferrals. That should not be allowed to this degree.

It’s ironic you call baseball a joke when they have more different champions being crowned in the last 10 years than any other sport. Over the last 10 years, there have been 9 different champions.

Both NBA and NFL have only had 7 different champions in the same stretch.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

And the payrolls of those champions the last 5 years for MLB is

1st (covid season winner)
4th
7th
8th
10th

You need to spend enough to be competitive which is why a floor is more important than a ceiling

Being able to defer 680 of 700 million of a contract while the player is playing is a complete fuking joke. Not only will the money be worth less by the time the organization has to pay it but they'll probably make a lot of it back on interest by putting it in escrow for the next decade.
