I do Yates rows at 45 degrees. So for me, yes.

I also superset shoulder presses with bread delt band work.

grip width as also important because the more abducted your arms are, the more your rear delts are engaged. so naturally, you'll begin to row higher with a wider grip.

Not directly, but it's better than nothing. Still though, if this is all you do, your delts will leave something to be desired. The rest of your arms will build around them and the delts will be weak.
