Bethesda teases Roadmap for Starfield Patches
Bethesda Game Studios plans to update Starfield every six weeks or so in 2024, a studio representative posted on the game’s Reddit forum. This comes after Bethesda addressed several issues in a patch on Monday, one of which fixes a bug that gave player ship’s a “pet asteroid” — space stuff was getting stuck to ships.
Several features are coming to Starfield, according to the post. Mod support, which was announced in September, is one of those features, but players can expect city maps and “all new ways of traveling,” too.“These will be rolling out with a regular cadence of fixes and updates we expect to have roughly every six weeks,” the Bethesda representative said. “If something can be done in a smaller hotfix in between (like the asteroid), and we feel it’s safe, we’ll get one of those out as well. Safe is the key here. We do take a lot of time to test even the smallest change in a game this large and dynamic.”
People have complained a lot about Starfield, but the game’s lack of a map was one of the big issues. Cities simply don’t have maps — just a pretty much blank screen with a few icons to denote points of interest. It’s something you might have expected for any of Starfield’s thousands of generated planets, but not for its core cities. (A fan-made Starfield database made interactive maps, if you’re looking for them.) Bethesda previously said it’d love to add city maps to the game, but the studio’s Tuesday Reddit post is the first official confirmation.
Bethesda also intends to add “new ways of traveling,” but that’s all the information it’s given thus far. There are several things this could mean, the most likely of which may be ground transportation. Starfield game director and Bethesda Game Studios CEO Todd Howard told Bloomberg in September that the studio considered it, but ultimately decided against it: “Once you do vehicles, it does change the gameplay,” Howard said. “Once you land in your ship [...] you’re on foot. It lets us really, for the players, make it an experience where we know how fast they’re seeing things.”

Adding an in-game map and traversal options would go a long way into making the game not feel like a massive slog and waste of time.

Bethesda knew they stood no chance against BG3 this year at the game awards, so they made a bad game on purpose so they could win "Best Ongoing" next year.

Lot of angry little fellas in here.
Sounds like theres no rush to finish it.
They also have DLC coming out.
A journal or anything that gives you information about jobs would be nice. A map is not a bad idea either.
A rover or some alternative to walking might actually make planets worth exploring too.

So Starfield as we know it was just Early Access? Sounds about right.
They released it and were like, "woo we did it guys now we can fuk off for 10 years" then got the massive backlash for how bad it is, realized they couldn't sit on a broken pile of chit and expect it to last like Fallout 4 or Skyrim, so release some PR bullchit, "hey guys! We didn't forget about you, we plan to update the game eventually..."
It's Cyberpunk all over again except CP was already a good game and the devs actually made the game better. Bethesda isn't going to do that, the clues are right there with how vague and empty that PR speech is.
Also lol at saying something is "top played on xbox" when it's part of the game pass. It's #93 on Steam, you know where the real replayability is cause we all know Bethesda games are trash without mods.

Release "roadmap"
...
It's quite literally adding a working in game map.
Yeah Toddcucks deserve what they get. No wonder not even modders want to touch this mess.
This is the equivalent of selling a new car with 2 doors and 3 wheels for a full price.

That's what I love about Xbox, they always update their games and add more content. Not like Sony, but I'm sure Factions 2 is coming out soon
Fk the Good Poster Crew (Lockdev, Pink, Kimm, Wasps, Expatriot, Mulloway, Luc1fer, Smallpeter, gwg, Super Hercules, Bonobo, maori-rap, Based Bagel, ezmac31, Goobaa, Godfrd and many more). You know who you are.

No map is better and I'll be sure to turn it off and keep the game as it is. Much more immersive.
Use your brain, when you play a game like GTA, when driving you just end up looking at the map. Sad !
