So right after I finished university my parents started our own business, my father worked in something similar to a mechanic ( but not quite, its less demanding but good $ ) and he did a lot of jobs after his work so he decided to start his own business, I joined in and now i do something similar to a vehicle annual inspection, because of the work that my father does, the customers also come to do this other thing that I do.
The thing is, because its just him and me and we have a lot of work to do, i am kind of hooked up to work, my daily routine consists of
- waking up at 6am
- gym at 7am
- work form 8:30am until 7-8-9pm
-arriving home, probably misc, watch youtube videos, consume social media or talk to random camgirls on adult websites
-sleep
- repeat

The only thing that i get joy from is gym, sometimes i go in the weekends for armwrestling practice, when cam girls are polite and talk nice to me / laugh at my jokes in the hopes that i will spend money on them but joke is on them cuz i never do ( it is kind of good practice tho for tinder and stuff )

If i think in the grand scheme of things it gets kind of sad...i made a few " investments" like bought some gold, started investing in crypto but idk what to do. This is what life is all about ? work / sleep 90% of the day ?

If i could i would change things, probably go on trips or idk, more involvement in the things that i like, like armwrestling, travel to competitions but i cant really leave, i feel like i have a moral obligation towards my family, if i leave then more than 70% of the income will be lost. We made a big investment and built our own place so things are even more " rooted" into this to say so.

My brother started his own w/ my mother tied financially into it as well.

So I get the mental “environment” you’re in to an extent.

Non-stop work where stopping can = death of what has been built + some of the family, emotions, incentives that can come.

1. Focus Viciously on Building the Business to Where You Replace Yourself &

Systemize the Work

(( requiring unceasing growth as a human being and learning a variety of skills ))

(( seek mentorship if you go route #1; someone who has lived & done it is ideal ))

2. Seamlessly Cut Yourself Out Now & Deal with The Ramifications

(( ideally replacing self & empowering Father to hire the person that replaces you or someone w/ your skillset that is heavily incentivized to work alongside your father as a co-owner (wanting it selfishly for themselves.)

if not somehow getting your father in a greater life position as you leave.

I’m sure your father doesn’t love the work sun up -sun down till death option either. ))

( he may love the idea of doing it on his own. Who knows. Have the conversations needed if it comes to this. )
