It's pretty good so far, but why is Amazon not releasing this one in its entirety like season 1?

How does amazon benefit from weekly episode releases?

To keep you subscribed would be my guess.

Not sure it's such a big deal for Amazon as I assume most people have Prime for other reasons that Prime Video but that's why a lot of the other streaming services have moved away from dropping entire seasons at once.

I'll wait til it's finished then torrent it and watch it in one day.

They are trying to bring back the idea that people talk about the shows in between like they used to and anticipate the next episode.

For reality shows like Survivor/Amazing Race I actually prefer it, for serials like Reacher I find I just binge them anyway.

I liked Season 1 a lot but I felt like they stealth-snuck some wokeness into towards the end. The black chick super-genius just-as-good-as-reacher-but-smarter-badass was kind of annoying, although other than I think her saving his life, she served no real purpose.

Watched all 3 episodes last night. So far its not as strong as season 1. I wish they didn't swap out Vegas/LA for New York/New Jersey. This is my favorite Reacher book and the vibe of the story is very West Coast so it just doesn't hit the same. Oh well. Hopefully the rest of the episodes are solid

I actually like weekly releases. I feel like I end up losing interest if it's all released at once. I am not a binge watcher, so knowing a new episode comes out weekly entices me to watch.

even ignoring the entire Switch tracking bit the moment they use the mom as bait and 4 attackers come rolling in Reacher gets a phonecall (telephone not even on silent lmfao) and he just yells "we gotta go" while the mom is face to face with 4 armed men

at that point I was just lmfao like lmfao

That whole scene was so piss poor. Unloading on the cops car with automatic weapons in the middle of the city. No cops even notice, he doesn't call for police backup, calls fukkin reacharound Thad Castle. Not one hit on a tire or gas tank after expending thousands of rounds of ammo. Goes all John Wayne for no reason literally seconds before help arrives. The writing is so bad.
