Watching Seinfeld. It’s so unrealistic how Jerry and George get so many women

I watched Seinfeld when I was younger. Never liked it a lot but never hated it. It’s ok though to have on in the background.

But watching now. It’s so unrealistic.

Both Jerry and George getting random dates and girlfriends with so many women.

I knows it’s a 90s show but even back in the day women had standards (in regards to George).

Jerry isn’t an ugly guy by any means. But he isn’t good looking. He has weird thick (thick as in a bad not good way) textured hair, is weird looking a Canadian moose.

I know Jerry the actor had a young teen gf years ago but that’s cause money…

It’s so off putting watching and seeing these girls with them cause it seems so awkward.

I think Jerry Seinfeld the actor wrote the shows so he could kiss girls lol. Obviously he probably had beautiful women irl cause of him being famous.

Watching other shows like everybody loves Raymond on the king of queens or the nanny or the two and a half men was way better and funnier.

Things were different in the 90s bruh.
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Jerry was playing a less famous version of himself, but he was still supposed to be semi famous and had money. But yeah, super models every episode were obviously a stretch. But they used it well for material.

George getting Marisa Tomei etc is more laughable, but again, they didn't pretend that he was attractive, they openly would do it as a joke. Once the girl said that she only liked fat and bald guys.

I dunno...I tried that George line, "My name is George. I'm unemployed, and I live with with parents." and got some numbers from women.

Every sitcom is like this. Al bundy or the Simpsons, the male is a fat dumb buffoon and the female is thin and attractive. It was the stereo type. It wasnt THAT far off, it used to be the husbands were usually fatter than the wife, they were the ones that ate pizza and drank beer, the wife was feminine and concerned about her figure and beign sexually appealing for her man.

THESE days even young people, look at most couples the female is ALWAYS fat and the guy is usually the leaner one.

Post 2012 it's unrealistic. In the 90s/early 2000s, you could have charisma and bat above your league, which Jerry and George both had. Plus, they had good jobs. Jerry was a successful comedian and George worked in the same office as Steinbrenner. They could afford huge manhattan apts

george being bald and living at home would struggle big time unless he dropped his standards. But getting your looks match in the 90s was far easier. Jerry was "average" looking but that would be fine to get an "average" non fat girl which in todays times those women all rather just share Chad and be childless Cat moms in their 40s.

Honestly man.. it's gonna sound like I'm bragging, but I don't even like the attention

I get more attention than I want and it's annoying cause then a girl will take it as an insult.

I don't think I'm Chad. It's just the way I carry myself. I also know how the game works

Like I honestly feel like I could get at least a few #'s from women any place I go.

In some place like NYC, you could easily do that chit. It's prob a bit fabricated how easily George could do it but at the same time, if a dude is aggressively putting himself out there I don't think it's farfetched

And Jerry was a comic.. so prob dealt with women at a nightclub which is alcohol fueled which is different. If he just shot from his fans he could prob do that

That’s thing though, I have older friends and relatives/cousins that was adults in the 80s even/90s/00s. They all say how hard it was still in the 80s/90/00s to get girls like it is today and they aren’t ugly either. Maybe they weren’t rich I guess.

Two and a half men is a better example, Charlie Harper (sheen) was a decent looking rich guy that got action but it wasn’t unrealistic as the TV show showed him getting rejected still. Now Alan in two and a half men was less realistic getting lots of good looking girls despite being protayed as a loser.

Jerry Seinfeld is playing himself tho. He is playing a stand up comedian.
Girls love clout. This was as true in the 90’s as it is now. Semi celebrity sky rockets your appeal to females.

I will never forget pre drinking close to 10 years ago with some guys. One of them had been on one season of a reality dating show in Norway. Guy was chubby & legit not good looking. Was on the show more for his funny personality & didnt hook up with anyone.
Was another Party in the apartment across from US. I stood on the balcony & asked thr girls (they were 17-18) If they witch Paradise Hotel. They all said yes. Asked If they had heard this guy that was at the party, all said yes. I brought the bro out to the balcony & every single girl was dying to join our all male pre-game party. Like 20 girls. Guy that lived There had to kick girls out because he didnt want to have under age girls at his place.

Point of the story: Jerry had more clout & was better looking than this IRL slob that got girls. Him getting dates isnt unrealistic at all.

You know, I don't think it's entirely unreasonable for certain average men to pull quality tail. It depends on the size of your ethnic group and how much it matters to you to be with someone in your community. Like among Jewish folks, if a woman is hellbent on being with a Jewish man, she will overlook many things to be with one. Same with Greeks, it's not unusual to see a pretty Greek girl with a hairy meatball of a man. Egyptian Coptic Christian women will also overlook age differences and looks to be with an Egyptian Coptic man.

Both were realistically well off in their own respective fields especially in the 90s. George working for the Yankees and Jerry being semi-famous and generous with money. Both charismatic in their own quirky ways. Girls love personality and means. Look at Kramer, dude was insane and could pull all day even if he was broke.

There may be some truth to the app stuff

But seriously op.. interact with more women. Their brains are a lot more dynamic than men's. They're not sitting there flicking their bean to a magazine of hot dudes

Much more things turn them on

Kramer just oozed Chad vibes, and Jerry was always a desirable man. George though, he was only desirable at his very best moments, which never lasted. On average the guy would most likely be an incel. I mean he was short, bald, and broke half the time lol.

It's definitely different.

Back then, you were just competing with all the other men in her general vicinity.

Now, thanks to social media and dating apps, you are competing with every man in a 50+ mile radius.

I know 19-20 year old girls that spend their days doing 2 thing:

1. Swiping in tinder until they find an NFL/NBA/MLB player
2. DM'ing said players on Instagram for D.

These women would've never had access to these men 15 years ago

Jerry I may see a little more plausible. Not too bad looking and funny. George on the other hand is totally unrealistic. Bald, manlet, bloated and neurotic.

They must have been all ugly or nerds. It was so much more casual and relaxed back then. Could go anywhere and get a few phone numbers. Could go out somewhere with a buddy and end up meeting a few girls and hanging with them the whole night. I had customers hit on me at work (college retail jobs). Even without internet, just going out in public gave plenty of opportunities. One summer day I even got a girl to pull over and give me her number after pulling up next to her at a stoplight. I had a typical broke young guy car, so it wasn't my ride that got the attention. And getting the number was a big deal, meant that you were in. No flaking back then.

People back then were just so much more outgoing. Being flirty wasn't looked down on, it was just being fun. But it also wasn't vulgar like today. It made the chase a lot more fun.

They are either extremely ugly or were not trying at all. Getting girls in the late 90s and 00s was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Yep. Smart phones and social media made it much harder. Chicks are too busy taking pictures of themselves 24 hours a day.

Jerry Seinfeld in real life was dating a high school kid when he was like 40. Weird how he gets away with that in popular culture
