How I fuked up my son’s Christmas gift this year (story time.

I remember one of my favorite gifts from back in the day. It was one of those remote control cars with the rotating wheels in front, so flips itself out of places it gets stuck.





Since it’s 2023, I wanted the equivalent of cool for my 8 year old. I mean, chit flies now. So I bought this:





I needed it charged for Xmas so I opened it so it’s ready to go. It had some sticker warnings all over it that I ripped off. One seemed like it was about taking off some kind of plastic support. I can’t find it but it looked like this:



I so took the piece of plastic out, and like a potato, the plastic part too.


Aaaaand found out it was the camera.




Now I am getting an amazon replacement that arrives on the 28th. Fuk it, he’s getting a sweater for now

I can relate.

When I was a kid I Lqahs loved remote control cars too especially the ones with a steering wheel on the controller.

Always wanted a gas powered one but never got around to getting it. I'll get my son a remote control car next year most likely.

They are always fun

Not the infamous sweater.

I can remember nothing worse than opening up Xmas presents to find clothes.

She's getting a puppy. We have already bought all the dog stuff and hidden it, but the dog itself is a bit harder to hide. We are going to pick it up after she goes to bed tomorrow.

She's a bit young (2 1/2), but she tries to make friends with every dog she sees. She's a good girl, she deserves a puppy.

Your son will love the drone. I'm glad it's chargeable, as he will probably play with it all day and you would run through AAs like crazy.

A little update. I got the new drone and flew it around in our property with my son he can learn how it works. Two women jogging around the block saw it. They walked into our front yard and twerked in front of it.

My son laughed and asked what they were doing. I said we will keep it in the backyard or on hiking trips from now on. No SD card so we didn’t record, but fukin lol

In their defense, we were inside watching through a window, it was cold out. So they didn’t know, but it was pretty random. I will avoid using it anywhere out of our backyard for practice from now on. The real purpose is scenic stuff anyway, and this was the wrong type of scenic. These things should be used with etiquette, and I think they didn’t appreciate it in our front yard.
