Walking through it seemed to be mostly Indonesians. They have Christmas holidays until the new year.

nah too busy for me. Thats not a vacation, that looks like a headache.

that's why i don't travel during holidays. I'll go on a nondescript tuesday in March or something. That sort of congestion is awful

spent most of 2020 there, went back in 2022

it was closer to paradise without all the people around

good for surfing but if you don't participate there's much better places to visit

can't say I'd visit besides that reason, so many better places in the world

There are no "good beaches" in Bali, they're all filthy. Every morning at sunrise you can see boomer white expats picking up trash the tides and the river mouths brought in the night before. For actual "good beaches" in Indo you need to go to the minor islands

Then do what southern california did and close most of the beaches to the public. Sell the land to the highest bidding MOGGER and let the poorcels have a small sliver of coastline. It's ridiculous that poor people get anywhere near tropical beaches at all.
