No, I make good money and overall enjoy my sales job. I would hate working in a library. I don’t think it would be a position to be ashamed of though

Libraries are easy jobs compared to blue collar stuff. Wage is 50k on average starting out. Tops out at 100k from what I’ve seen. Assistants make 30 to 40k (Florida).

You would be surrounded by young females in their prime. Screw what other guys think about it. Hell yes you should work there.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

There are two types of females at universities, turbo sloots and those trying to become "career" women. I don't want to waste time with either right now

We need to ask the real smearing questions here.
I already work with one of those

I care a lot more about money than I do about how I make said money, so long as the means are not degenerate in nature. In other words, yes.

Seems like you already made up your mind OP. If you can't get past the stigma associated with it, maybe it's not for you. If it's just for a short while and you don't plan on being a career librarian, I wouldn't worry. If this is something that you are getting into for the long haul, I think a job/career that is going to fulfill you should be more than simply how much money you make. When I started my own business I left a very good career and made practically nothing for the first year, now I have more clients than I can handle. What you do in life needs to matter to you the most, I see people that are absolutely miserable making good money but hating the work they do.

Librarian sounds pretty cush though, I'm not sure if I'd like working around the liberal employees that typically are librarians though

You can't call yourself a cuck for collecting an easy paycheck, brah. You would be the one doing the cucking of the employer, in that case.

You would probably get free/discounted tuition, as part of the benefits package. Depending on the exact situation, that could potentially make it worth it, in and of itself.

I already have a 4.0 STEM degree. I've worked in development and service delivery, i've decided problem solving technology and wasting all my mental energy by the time i finish work is not for me. It's time to comfymax

In that case, I would go and do something else.

I guest lecture occasionally and campuses are strange places these days (they were always strange, but they have become even stranger). Unless you are taking advantage of the university's USP, it's just a job where you are surrounded by annoying people.

My dream job would be to work around books all day. If I could somehow find a job in a library or bookstore that paid what I make now, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
