Mine scrapped out after 2 years but it's being replaced under warranty

It's also a cx from 2021, I'm sure the newer lgs are probably a bit more bulletproof

For sure. Can't wait to see what OLED is like. Bought some 4k Dolby Vision movies to test out and have a AppleTV 4k box.

One thing I recommend though is doing some DSE testing as well as checking the off-axis performance for full white screens - sometimes there can be a pink tint on some of them and, if yours showcases that, then I would exchange it for one that does not.
I'll do some testing hopefully it's all good. I ordered it online so it will be a pain to send back. Are OLED really a panel lottery like LCDs or is the quality control better?

I originally had an LG C1 that I returned for a pink tint in the white.

The EVO panels used by LG for the C series tend to have some form of pink tint in the whites so what you're looking for is one that has an acceptable low level of pink imo. There are some users who report no perceptible pink or barely any pink.
Yeah I was going to get it from Costco but with the price savings it was hard to turn down this deal. Just hoping for the best. BeachCamera is LG authorized dealer but still...don't want to hassle with any problems.

When I went from my old 2013 Samsung curved 4K LCD to an OLED S95B it was the biggest picture quality improvement I had seen since going from SD to HD. These latest TV's make all the difference, especially if you're gaming on modern consoles. Not such a big deal if you're just watching TV/movies or gaming on old consoles though.

I recommend to not listen to this and dont fuk around with any settings. youre coming from a 1080p lcd 8 year old tv bro, the difference will be night and day, you dont need to stress your self over enthusiastic details. Just enjoy

Massive upgrade you'll be mind blown, good deal too tbf. I stuck with LCD for my main TV but I did recently get an OLED laptop and the black levels are insane.

My CX died 2 weeks before it was 3 years old . Was watching it one second, started Miscing and the next time I put my head up all I had was a green horizon line .
Luckily the place I bought it shoved that extended warranty crap down my throat so it got an upgraded C1 panel .
Someday I’d like a 77” G3 , and now the factory warranty has been extended from one year to 5 .
Was talking with the salesman and they still wanted to shove that instore extended warranty up my ass, but I’m like why , it comes with a 5 year now?

Sounds like Sony is the best of everything, being poor is tough.

OP is getting a great upgrade pretty much regardless of what he gets considering where he is coming from. But if I was going OLED, QDOLED is so much better than WOLED. LG's time with the crown ended once QDOLED came to market.

i bought a 77 inch LG C3 after my cheap Samsung 4k LED died. the difference is unbelievable, the newer 4k hdr content looks hyper realistic and scenes with space and stars in the background have so much depth it almost feels 3d.

can't go back to non-OLED tv now.

C1 crew checking in.

Why not wait for the C4 though? Looks great. Supports 144hz instead of 120hz, better processor, better brightness. And if you're willing to go up to the G4 it comes with MLA which is big for viewing angles, brightness, energy conservation, and allegedly lifespan.
