Went to a church yesterday. My observations.. (long) (respect long tag)
So I went to a church yesterday with some family. My sister-in-law is a devout Christian of sorts, specifically the old-fashioned heavily orthodox sort. I was told my niece was going to be in a play and they wanted Uncle OP to be there. There has been a ton of discussion on the subject of needing to go to church to meet a wife-material woman these days. Yes I did just go to this one church just this one time, but again this church is the type that preaches old-fashioned rules and dogma, so you would think a lot of modern degeneracy would be absent and SOME hope would be present. This church theoretically should be a barometer in a way. However...
My observations are:
-Almost all the younger women there were with one kid. Just the two of them; Mom and kid. No husband/kid's father around. You could say the dad is still present just not right there right now, but whenalmost all of themwere sitting in the pews by themselves, you start connecting dots. It can't all just be a coincidence.
-The younger women without kids were not trying to be any sort of feminine at all. They weren't necessarily butch, just very drab, plain, and all.No, this is not misc standards, this is real life standards.Yes it is church, but some women were wearing flannel and Timberland boots, srs. The older women (40+) were wearing makeup, nicer clothes and despite being old, gross, and overweight, still made SOME effort to look feminine and decent. The contrast was obvious between generations. I seriously thought the woman next to me was a guy with long, braided hair until I heard the voice.
-All the women were completely devout. They weren't the types to just show up to church for an hour or so once a week, they go all-in and make church a large part of their lives. If you date a church woman almost 100% chance you will have to ingratiate yourself with the church and all activities and they will sniff you out with no problems for being halfway out the door or being half-present in the service.
-People were friendly enough, but you could tell from one interaction they were quite socially stunted and maybe autistic. Some people came up behind us in the pew and started talking to each other about how they want us to move seats so we won't block the spotlight. They were literally right fcking behind us, talking as if we couldn't hear them. Then they got the pastor to come around, he introduced himself, and asked us to switch seats. I thought that was funny.
-One woman got on the microphone at one point and told a story about how she was with a guy and had a couple kids with him. "But God told me not to marry this manso I divorced him(LOL WHAT!?)then found a guy on eHarmony. He was the last guy I wanted to talk to but I gave him a shot. We went on a date, 3 months later we got married, and we've been together for 16 years! We have a 9 year old son now, too!" This woman was easily in her 50's.
-I looked across the room during the service and saw some doodlegay with a neck tattoo. Huh.
-There was a tranny there pogo-bouncing in the back. He kept giving me looks throughout the service. Yeah, fuk outta here, homo.
-A majority of the service was devoted to singing songs. These were the ElevatorRockCore songs you expect to hear at church. They all sounded the same. Some people went to the back behind the pews and did some odd circular dance routine. Kids were pulled into it and looked unsure of wtf was going on. It was almost some cult-like ****. If you want to marry a church woman you will have to adopt some odd **** here and there, I'm sure of it.
-They follow Old Testament rules so no pork and no shellfish. That's what they say. However after the service they were having an "Oneg" and some pork meatballs were served. I was also told they have a weekly Men's Breakfast where they go to a diner, have pork sausages and the like. No fcking clue what to think of it.
-Also this is a Christian church that follows Old Testament rules; it is not a Synagogue. Many men there had long ZZ Top beards and tiny hats, but nobody claimed to be Jewish. It was wild **** and I felt like I was in a different dimension.
-After the service some random redditor-looking guy came up to us and told us the paper towel holder in the bathroom is broken. Gave us a rundown of how it's broken and what is probably the issue. I guess he was expecting us to fix it? I don't know. It was bizarre. Again, little social awareness from these people.
So yeah those of you thinking you should start going to church to meet people disassociating with clown world, you either have your work cut out for you in finding a location that isn't 100% mindfukt OR you might be better off just networking everywhere as much as possible to establish a circle of disparate people who think like you do. Single moms, women filing for divorce because He wills it, women looking homely as fuk, all the routines and activities, your church wife will insist you and the family join the community with some oddballs, etc. I'm staying away, no doubt.
My observations are:

Going in 1 hour, i think selecting a church that matches you.....is the most important factor.
I have attended churches with family in other cities and it just doesn't compare.
You do you.

Sounds like you went in there with your misc glasses on, or maybe that's how you always see things. Either way I started going to a church and can kind of see the thing with being a bit socially inept. Maybe people are just being nice but socializing is super respectful. Extremely G rated playful negs, and no cursing or sexual innuendos. Everyone is super positive, constantly saying nice things...like what you wanna hear kinda nice. Then of course you always have people coming in to just talk about all their problems seemingly looking for a handout. It's really a different way of living but I do feel kinda weird going out into the real world after church. Like I'm going back out into the wild.
Met a girl there but she has a teenager and tattoos all over so I kinda see what you mean on that end too. Definitely gave me "looking to settle down after bad decisions" vibe. Seems like the good girls are taken or too young to be openly dating.

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Church is boring AF.
Always hated it as a kid, so stopped going as an adult.
I could list a thousand things I'd be more fulfilled to spend time doing on a Sunday.

I respect the Christian religion because even with all of its faults, it is still a 'mostly peaceful religion' that has been the backbone of western civilization. Which has led the world in modern development.
That being said, Christian religion....any religion, basically comes down to people praying to and talking to an invisible man in the sky. It is as cult like as any cult in the world. Just complete fantasy. You might as well believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. All the same because it relies on something spiritual and ghost like.
I do believe in a higher level of being that is involved in our universe(s). Probably something related to numbers like 111. Mathematics.
If you want to go to a church that has some great looking women? Try a Korean or even any Asian Christian church. I realize that many areas won't have them but for example here in LA I know some of the girls and their friends that go and they are all 7s and higher. Most are nice and moral girls as well.

Words to live by...."You're at the shopping mall with your girl but a hot chick walks by. Are you going to look at the hot girl? No. You use your peripheral vision."

Im a follower of Yeshua but don’t go to church. I don’t even like calling myself Christian because that doesn’t mean anything. Your observation is correct. Sadly, most self proclaimed Christians are willfully ignorant and don’t know that being a Christian is not just going to church. It’s not about works. They don’t understand spiritual warfare nor believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They don’t understand that religion is bad; what really matters is having a personal relationship with God of the Bible. Most churches are infiltrated with satanists, religious dogmas, or lukewarm people only looking to socialize or find a “good Christian spouse” like you.
Anyways these churches do not represent God or the true Christian faith.
If you want a so called good Christian girl, spend time with God, read his word, humble yourself, and ask him for a wife that he would want you to have.

It's ironic because my SIL who brought us all there is pretty much matriarch of their family and can be an overly-zealous religious whacko. It was a shocker to see all that taking place. What denomination is that? I've never experienced anything like that at a Catholic church.
The music is signing of hymns with organ accompaniment, and it's interspersed with reading of scripture, prayers, and a homily by the priest.
Which I'd be fine with doing if I met a good Catholic woman. I still don't subscribe to the concept of Papal infallibility, but the services themselves are nice IMO. I also used to be in Knights of Columbus and we would put on different events like pancake breakfasts, Oktoberfest, Mardis Gras, and other general dinners that were fine.
I stopped going because I had a lapse in faith for a couple years. My faith came back but I stayed away because our priest was kind of scummy, and there were a few other people in positions of power at that parish that used it to act out their own personal power trip fantasies. Like I used to be a lector, I played trumpet for the holiday Masses and for weddings, and I was in Knights of Columbus. I wanted to genuinely help out and contribute to what was going on. I don't need some insecure beta who treats everyone like schit trying to micromanage everything, and I damn sure don't need some guy who is just trying to skim money off the donations or the proceeds from the events that we put on.

When I was a kid we went to an Evangelical church that was much more message-based, same sort of music, though. It was decent and not very much otherwise like the church I was at yesterday. I'm not sure if it's a denominational thing or just churches changing with the times.

Just go to a regular nondenominational church. You sing a few songs. Pastor comes up to give word of the day. Sing an outro song and then you go home or stick around and talk a little bit. I'll never go to an overly showy church or one with questionably strange made up beliefs (I'm looking at you LDS dedfkinSrs).

If the pastor asked me to move seats I would hit him with the "nah Im good chief" line to assert dominance.
If he cried about the people behind me I would tell him that if theyre short they should get here earlier and its a good life lesson for them to sit there all service behind a taller person so that they remember for next time.
