You're Fired Today - How Long Can You Survive Without An Income?

Title.

You're fired. No compensation package. About how long can you survive without touching your retirement money, selling your car, house, etc.?

For me it's about 27 months. Give or take a couple of months if something comes up or if I'm not-so-frugal for some months. At which point I'd have to sell something or borrow against my retirement srs.

I own or am the majority owner of the companies but if I were fired, I could last my lifetime. Adjusted for inflation.

Without selling stocks? I dunno, we spend around 20-35k a month, maybe 2 years in cash. Maybe we could cut back on personals and go 5 years.

Forever. Existing entitlements would get me to eligibility for an early pension that would be will above the average salary.

All my money is tied up in things, wanting to stay out of work for any significant length of time would require selling things

My wife works and earns enough I could neet for ever.

If she was fired too then before october last year 9.5 years

Now 3.3 years

Been a rough 14 months financially lol

Realsitsitcally I own my buissness so I'm not going to get fired tho and the government would be able to make up the shortfall of my income if we where really ****ed.

My salary is irrelevant. I have to have a salary of at least minimum wage, for legal reasons, so it is set at exactly that; minimum wage.

"Employed" or not "employed", makes no difference financially.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
