I’m trying to do the math , and you’re right that’s a little high .
Srs I’d say 5 litres bare minimum though , probably more in the summer .
Once it was so F’ng hot at work I drank over 7 litres before 3 PM . It was 104F and I was spurring poles and had a river of sweat flowing off my nose .
I’ve drank so much water out of habit that I wasn’t realizing I was making myself sick washing away all those important electrolytes etc when you over do it .
I’ve gotten pretty weak drinking too much water and didn’t realize it was the cause of making feel ill.
I pretty much have water with me at all times . The doctor asked me if I drink enough water as she’s looking at a bottle of water in my hand lol .

2 litres is a rookie AF

I have a litre of milk everyday which is mostly water, and I have 2 litres on top of that. I struggle to drink water though.. if I could I’d have a gallon+ a day but it’s hard for me to eat 4000 calories and drink that much water

yeah major tendies, i was going to ask if you put electrolytes in your water since you drink so much.

i just put a little pinch of salt each 0.5 L since i don't have much sodium in my diet anyways

2L is not enough. no wonder you wake up dehydrated.

Should be drinking at least a gallon. I refill my hydroflask multiple times per day.

More than you can afford, pal
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

yeah they overhyped drinking water. they even admitted that the whole 64oz they just made it up as it seemed like a good number. You get a lot of water from food as well. You dont see monkeys sitting by the lakes driking water all fuking day.

1.5 to 2 gallons a day. I don't try to do this for the health benefits, I just like it. Sometimes I'll drink a whole gallon during my workout.

I drink nothing else though. No soda, no juice. I have a few cups of black coffee everyday tho. No sugar.

I don't count but I consume a lot. I piss intensely ever hour but could go every half hour. I empty a full bladder every 60 minutes. That's a lot of piss. Sometimes I feel like janoy cresva.

Left to my own devices, I average about 0.8 to 1 gallon on non-lifting days.

On lifting days I'll usually drink my usual amount in the first half of the day, go through half a gallon just during my workout, plus more than normal in the following hours. I estimate right around 1.4 to 1.6 gallons on lifting days.

Averaged out over the course of a week.. like 1.2 gallons per day.

I will say that my labwork consistently shows my sodium as low. At my most recent annual they suggested adding some sodium in on my workout days when I told them how much I drink those days.

I don't even do it on purpose... it's just kind of what my body 'requests' of me.

Also - 6'1" 222-230 depending on day, time, chit taken or not, etc.

Any of ya'll who are like 165lbsprobablydon't need to be averaging 1 gallon of water per day if you lead a mostly sedentary indoor lifestyle and just lift 3-4 times per week.

Edit:

This isonlymy water intake, not including any/all other liquids or drinks with a water base (like coffee, tea, etc..)

For years I drank as much as I could pack in but I gradually got the feeling that i was pissing out vital nutrients.

Not sure why i thought that but I just didnt feel right and it was getting worse.

Went out of my way to reduce the amount of water I was drinking and I felt better after a day or two. I cut it way down.

now I added more back in but I am not as crazy for it as i was for all that time.

Want to see something crazy, try to get an old person to drink a glass of water. You would swear you gave them a glass of hydrochloric acid. Would take my dad at least 2 days to drink an 8 oz glass, srs. he would take the smallest sips possible. he could down a pot of coffee like it was nothing though right before bed.
